Rachael (she/they) is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate in the state of South Carolina and the owner of HeartSpace Counseling.
“I provide therapy services for adults (18+) and tend to work with LGBTQIA+ related issues, perfectionism, trauma, and anxiety (although I see a variety of people, each uniquely different!). My approach is gentle, compassionate, and lined with humor.
Therapy is kind of an intimidating thing, and also a very vulnerable thing to do, which paradoxically is pretty cool. I take very seriously the risk you are making by entering therapy, and work collaboratively with you to help you answer those deeper, soulful questions.
It is the nature of life to face difficulty, confusion, overwhelm, and helplessness. It can feel very scary and lonely at times; however, we tend find that adversity brings about deep, true wisdom about ourselves that provides us the conditions for change (see, pretty cool to take this risk!). So, I’ll be here to walk with you on this journey and remind you of the power you hold.”
